NG BRAKES Closes a Season Full of Success
Competition
Competition, adrenaline, and love for two wheels form the DNA of NG BRAKES. Therefore, supporting and accompanying the champions of today and tomorrow is one of our firmest commitments. Every year, we equip the motorcycles of dozens of riders across different disciplines and categories, becoming their reliable allies in tests, training, and, of course, races.
The 2022 season has been exciting and filled with great results. Championships, runner-up spots, victories, podiums, and, ultimately, hard work that has paid off. Let's review our riders' results.
Augusto FernĂĄndez and Red Bull KTM Ajo, World Champions
Consistency was key for Augusto FernĂĄndez to claim the Moto2 World Champion title. The Mallorcan rider always aimed to stay among the top finishers, taking risks when necessary and using strategy to conserve at crucial moments. His great work, which began in preseason tests alongside NG BRAKES, was complemented by Pedro Acosta's brilliant first season in the category (Rookie of the Year). Together, they also secured the Teams' title for Red Bull KTM Ajo.
Ălvaro DĂaz, SSP300 World Champion
Another championship with the NG BRAKES seal. In PortimĂŁo, Ălvaro DĂaz and the ARCO â MOTOR UNIVERSITY TEAM, after 2 wins, 7 second places, and 2 thirds, secured the title in the Supersport 300 categoryâone of the most competitive classes today. This success has a special flavor, as this team is formed by students and alumni from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Itâs a further commitment to the talent of young riders, mechanics, data analysts, communicators, etc., with a bright future ahead.
In this category, other NG BRAKES riders also shined, such as Marc GarcĂa. The Catalan rider finished fifth overall with 3 wins and 2 second-place finishes.
Triumphing from the Cradle
This season, we equipped the bikes of numerous teams competing in the FIM JUNIOR GP across its various categories. For instance, Ălex Ruiz, riding for FAU55 TEY RACING, finished the Stock championship in second place, with two wins and one second-place finish. A triumph that speaks of teamwork, determination, confidence, and effort.
We have also worked hand-in-hand with FINETWORK MIR RACING TEAM, TEAM LARRESPORT, the Cuna de Campeones team, ARTBOX TEAM, and IGAX TEAM.
And also in Spain
In 2022, we helped brake national champions in the Spanish Superbike Championship (ESBK). A clear example is Yeray Ruiz. This young man from Malaga competed throughout the year in different championships, pushing his passion to the limit. All his dedication, work, and talent were rewarded as he was crowned Spanish Supersport Champion with the YAMAHA MS RACING TEAM.
Meanwhile, Pepe Osuna took the Spanish SBK Junior Champion title with a total of 5 wins and 3 second places. The partnership with DEZA BOX77 RACING TEAM, combined with the drive from top-tier partners like NG BRAKES, worked perfectly. In fact, the team's hard work was also reflected in Antonio Torres' third-place overall finish.
Another brand-new champion was Eric "La Bala", who finished the season in first place in the STK600 category. For his part, Dani SĂĄez did the same in STK1000 after a year with an unbeatable record: 10 wins out of a possible 14.
In the PreMoto3 category, second, third, and fourth place went to our riders. Ălex Longarela (IGAX Team), David GonzĂĄlez (Cuna de Campeones), and Pedro Alomar (IGAX Team) were three of the dominant names throughout the season.
Finally, JesĂșs Torres took the Cuna de Campeones title.
What about the dirt?
NG BRAKES discs offer the best performance and maximum safety regardless of the terrain. Proof of this is found in the performance of the riders we support in national and international motocross, enduro, and supercross championships. Such is the case for Amandine Verstappen, who finished the Women's World Motocross Championship season in a meritorious sixth position. Or Juan Izaguirre, who managed to finish on the third step of the podium in the overall standings of the Spanish MX85 Championship.
