Monster Bike from Hell

One of the biggest motorcycles ever built is the Monster Bike from Hell: 3 metres wide, 9 metres long, and weighing 13 tonnes. It took an Australian stunt performer three years to build this “monster.” To move it, the bike uses a Detroit Diesel truck engine, and its wheels—three metres tall and one metre wide—come from an old mining truck. Dolmette

A Harley-Davidson powered by 25 chainsaw engines. This wild idea came from Dolmar, a German chainsaw brand that wanted to prove the quality of its products by building this bike. And it worked—because this machine is capable of exceeding 200 km/h. If you want to see what it looks like, click here.

Ecosse ES1 Superbike

Possibly the most “normal” one on the list. This motorcycle, inspired by Formula 1, is among the most expensive in the world, with a price tag of over €2.5 million. It was designed by Dick Glover, who served as McLaren’s CEO in 2018 and 2019 and has a long history with the British brand, where he began working in 1998. That close connection explains the striking papaya orange colour—McLaren’s signature shade—featured on this bike. Glover used F1-derived technology to improve, among other things, its aerodynamics. Harley-Davidson Limousine

In the United States, vehicle approval regulations are far more flexible than in many European countries. That’s why it’s common to see riders carrying out “crazy” modifications—like the motorcycle limousine. One American decided that a motorcycle should fit more than two people and got to work building this curious machine. He took the front end of a Harley-Davidson and completely reworked the rear to create a cabin that can carry up to eight passengers. And he went all-in on comfort, adding a TV and even a minibar. Bonus: The Longest Motorcycle in the World

Last but not least, here’s an award-winning bike: the vehicle that holds the Guinness World Record for the longest motorcycle. Built in 2014 in India—specifically in the Gujarat region—by Bharat Sinh Parmar, it measures 26.29 metres in length, around four metres longer than the second-longest motorcycle. While there isn’t much information about how it was made, it’s likely that a small-displacement bike was modified by replacing the chain with a hydraulic system that transfers power to the rear wheel.
