4 Getaways to Enjoy Spring on a Motorcycle

Spring always arrives accompanied by better weather and, with it, more plans, a better atmosphere, and, ultimately, more life. With the return of the sun and a slight increase in temperatures, our favorite companion also returns to the stage: the motorcycle. It is time to head back to the roads and once again enjoy traveling through familiar places while discovering new corners that have been just around the corner all along. Here are four getaways to make the most of spring on your bike:

Jerte Valley – The Most Beautiful Landscape

At this time of year, the cherry trees in the Jerte Valley bloom, covering it in a pink blanket that forms one of the most beautiful landscapes in Spain. It doesn't last long, like all good things, so it is important to plan the route well. Our advice is to start in Plasencia with a good breakfast and head toward the Puerto de Honduras. From there, you will reach the valley, where you can return to the city via Piornal, Jaraíz de la Vera, and the EX-203 road. A unique opportunity to get to know a not-too-explored area of Spain while enjoying your passion for motorcycles.

Alicante – Beach, Mild Climate, and Beauty

During high season—basically the summer months—the province of Alicante (and, in general, the entire coast) fills up with tourists. The truth is it doesn't lose its charm, but it isn't enjoyed as much as, for example, in spring. If you have a free weekend, an unbeatable plan is to travel across it entirely by motorcycle. You can dedicate one day to the more inland area, full of beautiful villages and plenty of nature, guided by the Sierra de Aitana. The next day, our recommendation is to opt for a coastal route to get to know the province thoroughly and be surprised by its contrasts. And don't miss out on a good rice dish (arroz).

Pyrenees – Pure Nature

The Trans-Pyrenean route is one of the most popular among bikers due to the beauty of the landscapes it traverses. Spring can be a good time to do it, once the extreme cold begins to disappear. However, if you don't have time to complete it in full, you can choose to travel just one or two stages. There is no great secret: any area of the Pyrenees is beautiful, spectacular, and enjoyable. Our recommendation: use Jaca as your base of operations and, from there, explore.

Albacete – A Great Unknown

Sometimes, we have true wonders nearby and unconsciously ignore them. The Sierra de Alcaraz in Albacete is a clear example.
