But it is also true that it is an unbeatable time to visit certain places that are too crowded in summer and to enjoy breathtaking landscapes. We recommend 5 routes so that neither you nor your motorcycle stay stationary during these months.

The Other Ibiza

Yes, you read that right. The island is one of the favorite destinations for Hollywood stars, singers, designers, and all kinds of celebrities, who travel there every summer to enjoy its crystal-clear waters, the beauty of its coves, and, of course, its parties and exclusivity. However, in winter, Ibiza sees its occupancy drop significantly and calm returns, along with more affordable prices. Therefore, it is the perfect time to explore it on two wheels, also thanks to its mild climate. You can do it with your own ride (taking it by ferry from the mainland) or by renting a bike there. Routes? There are many: through the north, the south, the central area, focused on villages… Our advice? Grab a map or GPS and… explore the whole thing!

Deep North

In reality, the route we are about to discuss can be done at any time; it is always a good moment to recommend it. The North of Spain gives us beautiful landscapes all year round, so visiting it is mandatory. Ideally, you should start this route, which explores Euskadi (the Basque Country) and the French Basque Country, in Zarautz. A good lunch and then hit the road. From there, following the coast, you will reach San Sebastián, Hondarribia, Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and finally, Biarritz. Make all the stops you wish—none of these places or the many other villages in the area will disappoint you. Oh, and prepare your stomach to enjoy one of the richest gastronomies in our country.

The Tabernas Desert, located in Almería, has been the setting for some of the most important Spaghetti Westerns in cinema history, such as Sergio Leone's 'Dollars Trilogy'. Its beauty and resemblance to the American West were the reasons that attracted numerous directors to our country, and now also attract curious visitors and tourists from all over the world. Taking advantage of Almería's good climate, we recommend a route full of contrasts. We start at Cabo de Gata, with the sea in the background, and head inland toward Tabernas. A mandatory stop there, lunch, and a return trip circling the Sierra Alhamilla Natural Area until connecting with the Cabo de Gata – Níjar Natural Park, where we will skirt the coast back to our starting point.

The Most Popular Road in the United Kingdom

If you have vacation time available and feel like a different kind of route, we recommend a trip to the United Kingdom. One thing is clear: the weather there doesn't usually cooperate, so this route is only for the brave—and for bikers who don't mind the cold. As with Ibiza, you can start the route in Spain and take your bike by ferry or rent one there specifically for the journey. On this occasion, we take you to the Cat and Fiddle road, the most popular and dangerous in the UK. Approximately 12 km long, this winding road connects Buxton (Derbyshire) with Macclesfield (Cheshire) and boasts beautiful views, allowing you to discover a less-explored area. However, given the road's danger, only experienced riders should venture onto it.

San Bernardino Pass

The last motorcycle route is for adventurers. This pass will allow you to enter The Alps and enjoy their beauty and grandeur up close. As is often the case with mountain passes, it is a demanding and challenging road, but the reward is immense. If you aren't afraid of the cold and have the experience and gear to face bad weather, dare to take this route and cross one of the most important mountain ranges on the planet. And if your bravery knows no bounds, camp out. It is an experience you will never forget.
