Human creativity knows no bounds and motorcyclists are no exception. For this reason there are many motorbikes that have become famous for their curious appearance. From NG BRAKES we have made a research to bring you the most interesting and even rarest motorbikes that have been manufactured.
Monster Bike from Hell
One of the biggest bikes ever built is the Monster Bike from Hell, at 3 metres wide and 9 metres long, weighing 13 tonnes. It took three years to build by an Australian stuntman. To move this ‘monster’, the bike is powered by the engine of a Detroit Diesel truck and its wheels, which measure three metres high by one metre wide, come from an old mining truck. Dolmette
A Harley-Davidson with 25 chainsaw engines. This crazy idea comes from Dolmar, a German chainsaw brand that wanted to test the quality of its products with this bike. And they succeeded, as this model is capable of over 200 km/h. If you want to see what this bike looks like, click here.
Ecosse ES1 Superbike
Perhaps the most ‘normal’ on the list. This Formula 1-inspired motorcycle is one of the most expensive in the world, worth more than two and a half million euros. This model was designed by Dick Glover, who was CEO of McLaren during the years 2018 and 2019, and who has a past closely linked to the British brand, where he began working in 1998. From this close relationship with the team comes the striking papaya orange colour, characteristic of McLaren, which this bike sports. To create this bike, Glover used F1 technology to improve aerodynamics, among other things. Take a look at this motorbike by clicking here.
Harley-Davidson Limousine
In the United States, legislation is much more flexible with homologations than in European countries. For this reason, it is very common for motorcyclists to carry out ‘crazy’ modifications to their bikes, as in the case of the limousine motorbike. One American thought that a motorcycle should be able to carry more than two people and set to work to create this curious machine. To do this, he took the front of a Harley-Davidson and tuned the entire rear to create a cubicle that can accommodate up to 8 people. And he did it with all the luxuries, even including a television and a minibar. If you want to discover this impressive bike, click here.
Bonus: the world’s longest motorcycle
Last but not least, we have an award-winning motorbike. Specifically, this impressive vehicle, which holds the Guinness World Record for the longest motorbike in the world. It was created in 2014 in India, specifically in the Guajarat region, by Bharat Sinh Parmar, and has a length of 26.29 metres, four metres longer than the second longest motorcycle. Although there is not much information about the creation of this bike, it is most likely to have been made using a small displacement motorbike that was modified by replacing the chain with a hydraulic system that carries the power to the rear wheel.
